Yamaha’s New Video Sound Bar & Collaboration System Improve Conferencing Experiences

November 21, 2022

Today’s video collaboration sessions are expected to provide crystal clear audio and video as business users demand better presence technologies. It’s part of the new, digital work experience that connects colleagues, partners, and customer wherever they are located.

Grandview Research expects the global video conferencing market, which gained massive momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns, to grow at a CAGR of 12.5% from 2022 to 2030. Valued at $6.28 billion in 2021, the market is seeing uptick as the trend of remote working and geographically scattered business operations continues to spread throughout the world.

To improve the camera and audio response and replay capabilities for meeting environments, Yamaha has announced two new video collaboration systems, CS-800 Video Sound Bar and CS-500 Video Collaboration System. Added to its unified communications offerings, these solutions eliminate distracting noise, automatically recognize where a speaker is in the room and even adjust settings to fit each unique environment.

The offerings have both passed certification testing for Zoom Rooms to provide a reliable and seamless Zoom experience for users.

With the CS-800, users get an all-in-one microphone, speaker, camera, and video output in one device. The CS-500 offers a microphone, camera, and video output and utilizes the speaker of the connected display. The solutions can be used for tabletop, wall, and display mounting and feature a 4K AI-enabled video camera with auto-framing. This includes the ability to have speaker tracking, individual tracking, or group modes so the most relevant area that participants are located at is focused on.

“The new CS-800 and CS-500 use Yamaha’s state-of-the-art audio processing technology with the latest in intelligent video technology to automatically identify the conference space and the meeting participants,” said Tatsuya Umeo, CEO, Yamaha Unified Communications. “Our signature technology, SoundCap Eye, combines video information with audio information to capture the speakers’ voices. The newly developed Hexa-Microphone not only discovers speakers but also eliminates distracting noises and sounds in the same vicinity. Together, the two technologies provide a frictionless and superior conferencing experience by automatically adjusting audio and video to each unique setting.”
